February-March 2024: Rachael is directing The 39 Steps for Watershed Public Theatre in Columbia, Tennessee. January 2024: Rachael intimacy directed Nashville-based IS Productions' Closer by Patrick Marber. September-October 2023: This fall, Rachael has been honored to serve as Intimacy Director for Anastasia, the Musical at Watershed Public Theatre, and for Good Kids at Vanderbilt University. May-June 2023: Rachael got the chance to work with Watershed Public Theatre as Intimacy Director on Romeo and Juliet. April 2023: Rachael is back in NYC directing the world premiere of The Best Punk Band in Conway, Missouri: An Oral History of Presley Cox and the Fallout Five with Upper Manhattan's UP Theater Company. Rachael's 10-minute play, 2-lane, received a student production as part of Pace University's 2023 Director Spotlight showcase. January 2023: Rachael directed a virtual reading of Emmalee Manes' An Offering for Tennessee Playwrights Studio's 2023 Virtual Reading Festival. October 2022: Rachael's play, Better Angels, made its West Coast debut with Liberty Bell Drama Company. Rachael also served as Intimacy Choreographer for the Actors Bridge Ensemble's production of When We Were Young and Unafraid. August/September 2022: Rachael was the Intimacy Director for Nashville Rep's incredible production of Rent. It was a thrill to make my Nashville debut! Rachael also had the opportunity to lead an intimacy/consent tools workshop as Intimacy Consultant for Watershed Public Theatre's production of Little Women. April 2022: Rachael was the Intimacy Director for three of Brooklyn's Match:Lit BARDcore series-Pericles, Two Gentleman of Verona, and MacBeth! November 2021: Rachael directed Failure: A Love Story by Philip Dawkins at Saddle River Day School. She was thrilled to be back in person for the first full production since 2019! October 2021: Rachael directed a staged reading of Barbara Blumenthal-Ehrlich's powerful play, Thoughts and Prayers, as a part of UP Theater Company's Renewal Readings series. August 2021: Rachael participated in the first ever Collaborations of Merritt, conceptualizing Lauren Gunderson's play, Silent Sky. Check out the concept pitch here. July 2021: Rachael was the Assistant Intimacy Coordinator to Amy Northup on Season 2, Episode 3 of Interested In. Rachael was also interviewed on the Elemental Women in the Arts podcast. Listen here. June 2021: Rachael served as an Intimacy Consultant for Stargazer, a feature film from Mountain Muse Productions. May 2021: Rachael's play, the fear of missing out, was chosen for the Parsnip Ship's Parsnip Play Club Spring 2021 Line-up. February 2021: Rachael's play, Better Angels, was part of Spark Creative Works Women's Writing Festival. Throughout 2021: Rachael has pursued studies in theatrical intimacy, consent, and EDI work with various organizations, including Intimacy Directors and Coordinators and Theatrical Intimacy Education. November 2020: Rachael wrote 2-lane, a ten minute play, as part of the Coordinates Project, organized by NU Theatre/Justin Guidroz via Twitter. Rachael also FINALLY put some of her plays up on NPX. Throughout 2020: Rachael has been arranging informal virtual table reads of plays in development with actors and playwrights in New York and DC. February 2020: Rachael was part of the inaugural Level 1 Class with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators. January 2020: Rachael began the Executive Program in Arts and Culture Strategy through National Arts Strategies and University of Pennsylvania.
